Ticketmatic was founded from a shared passion for culture and a drive to innovate in ticketing. Over the years, new ideas, technologies, and collaborations have emerged. This is the story of how we’ve grown and evolved.

1996

Co-founder Erik’s band scores several radio hits.

2004

Founders Erik and Bart start a software company focused on content, websites, and marketing in the cultural sector, partnering with an international ticketing provider.

2007

Erik and Bart launch ticketmatic to offer an innovative response to the challenges of online ticketing.

2009

Launch of TM2, featuring a richer back office and broad support for complex setups.

2016

With the TM3 release, ticketmatic adopts a new tech foundation, fully focused on online usage and management.

2020

The team develops solutions to help clients navigate the COVID crisis, including automated refunds and social distancing seat maps.

2024

The ticketmatic app is rolled out to all customers, including optional Secure Tickets to combat resale fraud.

2025

Ticketmatic surpasses 300 customers and 15,000,000 tickets. A new user interface is launched and the Studio is introduced to further expand customization.
