A ticket shop that feels like AB

When visitors click ‘Buy tickets’ on AB’s website, they stay in the same visual world. The ticket shop blends seamlessly into the website and automatically adapts to AB’s different programme lines and concepts.

But the changes go beyond design. AB can tailor sales flows to specific events, ask only for relevant information, manage workshop registrations directly through the ticket shop and offer targeted donation options.

Ticketmatic Studio developed the shop together with AB and web agency Inventis. This ensures that the website, ticketing, single sign-on and tracking work together seamlessly, both visually and technically.

The result is a ticket shop that feels unmistakably AB to visitors, while behind the scenes it adapts much more closely to the way the organisation works.

From website to ticket shop without breaking the visual experience

AB has one strong identity, but within it, different programme lines and concepts each have their own visual world. That recognisable identity now continues into the ticket shop.

Ticketmatic Studio developed four visual styles that are applied automatically depending on the event. Visitors buying tickets for BRDCST see that identity reflected in the ticket shop. For AB at Night, the shop automatically switches to the corresponding look and feel.

The underlying ticket shop remains the same, but for visitors, moving from the website to buying a ticket feels like one continuous experience.

Branding no longer stops when someone clicks ‘Buy tickets’.

The right sales flow for every purchase

Not every purchase requires the same information. AB no longer has to manage those differences outside the ticket shop. The right sales flow can be set up for each event or price type, showing only the fields that are relevant in that context.

If a VIP ticket includes a merchandise package, for example, visitors can immediately be asked for their preferred T-shirt size during checkout. Someone buying a standard ticket will not see that question.

Workshop registrations can also run directly through ticketmatic. Where AB previously used separate Google Forms, the team can now decide which information is needed for each workshop and collect it directly during registration.

This way, the flow adapts to what someone is booking, without AB having to set up a separate process for every type of offer. The relevant information immediately ends up in the right place.

Donations at the right time and for the right cause

AB also uses the ticket shop to give visitors the opportunity to support its own activities or a charitable cause.

Instead of offering one generic donation option, AB can manage different donations separately within a dedicated product category and decide which cause to feature at which moment.

This allows AB to suggest a donation when it is contextually relevant. Follow-up becomes easier too: the team can immediately see how much was raised for each cause, making reporting and transferring the funds much more straightforward.

Website and ticketing as one

A ticket shop that integrates this closely with the website requires more than a visual update. Behind the scenes, different systems need to work together just as smoothly.

For this project, ticketmatic Studio worked directly with Inventis, AB’s web agency. AB did not have to act as a technical go-between. Working directly together made it easier to align the website and ticket shop technically, so visitors only need to log in once and tracking continues seamlessly across both environments.

The collaboration also extends beyond this project. ticketmatic and Inventis work together for several shared clients. By exchanging knowledge and technical expertise directly, we can bring websites and ticketing together into a more seamless digital experience.

A ticket shop tailored to the way you work

With ticketmatic Studio, the ticket shop can be further tailored to an organisation’s identity and specific way of working, just as we did for AB.

Do you have specific needs that go beyond ticketmatic’s standard possibilities? Contact your account manager or get in touch through our contact page. We’ll be happy to explore how we can adapt the ticket shop to the way your organisation works.
